New Vice-Chancellors at DU, JU, and BAU; New Chairman at UGC
Professor A B M Obaidul Islam, a professor of physics, is becoming the new Vice-Chancellor of University of Dhaka, who had been serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University until now.
Meanwhile, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of University of Dhaka, Professor Mamun Ahmed, has been given the responsibility of Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.
At the same time, Professor Rais Uddin is becoming the Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University. And Professor Siddiqur Rahman Khan has been given the responsibility of Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University.
The names of the new UGC chairman and the vice-chancellors of the universities were announced by Education and Primary and Mass Education Adviser A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon at a press conference at the Ministry of Education on Monday.
