After continuous work stoppages and boycotting annual exams, the assistant teachers of government primary schools have now announced a "complete shutdown" program to implement their three-point demands. At the same time, teachers will stage sit-ins in front of upazila and thana education office buildings.
This program will be implemented in all government primary schools across the country starting Wednesday (3 December).
On Tuesday (2 December) afternoon, the leaders of the Primary Teachers’ Demand Implementation Council announced this program.
Teacher leaders stated that, according to the commitment in the Ministry of Finance’s notification, 22 days have passed since the three-point demands of government primary school assistant teachers were raised, yet no visible progress has been made. Therefore, under the call of the Primary Teachers’ Demand Implementation Council, a "complete shutdown" program has been announced in all government primary schools across the country starting tomorrow, Wednesday.
