Journalist Anis Alamgir Taken to DB Office for ‘Questioning’

Senior journalist Anis Alamgir has been taken to the Detective Branch (DB) office for questioning.
After 8:00 pm on Sunday, a team of the Detective Police took him to the DB office on Minto Road in the capital.
Regarding the matter, Additional Commissioner of the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Shafiqul Islam, said, “Anis Alamgir has been brought to the DB office from the Dhanmondi area. He is being questioned.”
When asked whether he had been detained or would be shown as arrested in any case, he said, “A decision regarding him will be taken later after the questioning.”
