Russia Claims Drone Attack on Putin’s Residence

US President Donald Trump has expressed anger toward Ukraine over the drone attack incident at the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He said, “This is not the right time, when talks are underway to stop attacks on Moscow.”

Trump further said, “Do you know who told me about this? President Putin. He told me early in the morning that he had been attacked. This is not good.”

Trump told reporters at his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, that he was very angry about the incident.

Trump said, “This is a delicate time. This is not the right time. Being aggressive is one thing because they are aggressive. But attacking his home is another thing. This is not the right time to do anything like this.”

Meanwhile, rejecting Russia’s allegations regarding the attack on Putin’s residence, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine did not carry out a drone attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence and that Moscow is trying to disrupt peace talks.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed that Kyiv carried out an attack using 91 drones on Putin’s state residence in Russia’s northwestern Novgorod region.

Russia said it would now review its position on peace talks. However, it is still unclear where Putin was at the time of the attack.

Zelensky dismissed the claim as “Russian lies,” stating that these allegations were made to provide an excuse to continue Kremlin attacks on Ukraine.

In a statement shared on Telegram on Monday, Lavrov said that all 91 drones launched at Putin’s residence were intercepted and destroyed by Russia’s air defense systems. He added that there were no reports of casualties or damage as a result of the attack.
