Tehran Issues Strong Warning After Trump Comments on Iran Protests

A senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader has said that any intervening hand that enters Iran on false pretexts will be cut off before it reaches the country, and a regret-inducing response will be given.

In a post on X on Friday (2 November), Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani said that the Iranian people know very well the American concept of “liberation” — from the experiences of Iraq and Afghanistan to Gaza.

Earlier, commenting on protests in Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump said that Washington would intervene if Iran “shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters.”

Following the U.S. president’s remarks, Ali Shamkhani further said, “Iran’s national security is a red line, not a playground for reckless games.”
