2,500 U.S. Marines Head to Iran War on Amphibious Warship

For the first time since the ongoing war between Iran and the United States–Israel alliance began, a decision has been made to deploy a group of 2,500 U.S. Marine troops.

Members of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently on their way from their base in Okinawa, Japan. They are being deployed along with the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli.

The Marines will be able to enter the battlefield directly from this warship. They may be used to respond to any crisis situation or to take control of any area inside Iran if necessary.

These Marines are set to become the first U.S. ground troops deployed in the war between Iran and the United States–Israel alliance.

This move makes it clear that the United States is gradually strengthening its military presence in the conflict and does not appear to have any immediate plan to end the war quickly.
