Multiple Explosions in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia

Loud explosion sounds have been heard in Bahrain, United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. All of these areas host American military bases.

Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency has reported that Iran carried out a missile attack on a U.S. base in Bahrain.

Reuters reported that after a loud explosion in the Juffair area of Bahrain, plumes of smoke were seen rising into the sky. A key U.S. Navy base is located there. Earlier, the country’s Interior Ministry issued an emergency warning instructing citizens to take shelter in safe places.

A loud explosion has also been reported in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. However, the source or extent of damage was not immediately known.

Al Jazeera reported that explosion sounds were heard in Kuwait. Shortly afterward, warning sirens began sounding across the country.

Multiple explosions were heard in Doha. Earlier, the country’s Defense Ministry had said that all missiles fired from Iran had been intercepted.

Meanwhile, news agency Agence France-Presse reported that explosions also occurred in Riyadh.

These simultaneous explosions across countries in the Middle East have spread war fears throughout the region.
