When asked about the next steps, the OC said, “Legal action will be taken.”

Regarding the matter, Dhaka University Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed told the media, “After Sheikh Hasina’s verdict, he (Lavlu Mollah) said, ‘I don’t care.’ Whoever he is, we will take action against him.”

In this regard, DUCSU Liberation War and Democratic Movement Affairs Secretary Fatema Tasnim Juma wrote on her personal Facebook profile, “We just handed Lavlu over to the police. Our stance will remain the same regarding the teachers involved in the genocide. Anyone showing ‘civility’ towards them will also be held accountable.”
