In the context of nationwide drives and fines, the LPG Dealers’ Cooperative Society Limited has announced the suspension of the supply and sale of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders.
As part of this program, from Thursday (8 January), the organization will also halt the lifting of LPG from the plants of all companies until their demands are met.
The organization issued this notice to distributors and retail sellers across the country on Wednesday evening. Earlier that morning, at a press conference held in front of the National Press Club in the capital, a 24-hour ultimatum was issued, placing six demands including an increase in commission and the withdrawal of fines.
The leaders also warned that if the demands were not met, LPG supply and marketing would be suspended indefinitely starting Thursday. Later in the evening, the announcement to enforce the shutdown program was made.
