JASAD Condemns Decision to Destroy Freedom Fighter Video Archives
The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has decided to cancel the video interviews of nearly 15,000 freedom fighters under a dedicated project. The National Socialist Party (JASAD) has alleged that this move is part of a broader ‘mob operation’ by the caretaker government.
In a statement on Thursday (15 January), the party’s central executive committee said that from the beginning, the caretaker government initiated a campaign aimed at erasing the history of the Liberation War. As part of this campaign, the destruction of the video interviews of 15,000 freedom fighters is now being implemented.
The statement urged the people of Bangladesh to raise their voices against this anti-Liberation War operation.
It is worth noting that during the Awami League government in 2022, the project titled “Birer Kanthay Birgatha” was launched to document the experiences of living freedom fighters and pass them on to future generations.
