9 Killed in Chemical Warehouse Fire in Dhaka’s Rupnagar

At least nine people were killed in a fire that broke out at a chemical warehouse in Dhaka’s Rupnagar area on Monday.
According to Talha Bin Jasim, an officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Media Wing, the fire erupted in the compound of a pharmaceutical company located in the Shialbari area earlier in the day.
The fire service received the report at 11:40am, and the first response team reached the site at 11:56am, he said.
A total of twelve firefighting units have been deployed and are currently working to bring the blaze under control.
Further details, including the cause of the fire and identities of the victims, were not immediately available.
