Bus Catches Fire on Badda Link Road in Dhaka

A bus caught fire on Badda Link Road in Dhaka.
The Fire Service reported that the bus of Dewan Paribahan caught fire around 7:45 PM on Friday.
A video of the incident has been circulating on social media. In the video, the burning bus is seen suddenly starting to roll on its own while flames continue to rise. This caused panic among the people nearby.
Md. Shahjahan, the duty officer at the Fire Service control room, said that one of their units went to the scene. However, the fire had been extinguished before they arrived.
When asked about the cause of the fire, the Fire Service official said, “We have been informed that the fire started because the engine overheated due to a mechanical fault.”
