Two people shot dead in front of the court in Khulna
Two young men were hacked and shot dead on the road in front of the main gate of the Khulna District and Sessions Judge Court premises by miscreants. The incident took place around 12:30 pm on Sunday (30 November).
The deceased are Fazle Rabbi Rajon and Hasib.
Eyewitnesses said that after appearing in court, Rajon and Hasib were heading towards a motorcycle parked beside the road. At that moment, the miscreants struck Hasib on the neck with a knife and shot him. Hasib collapsed on the ground. When Rajon tried to run, he was shot from behind. He also fell to the ground. The miscreants then quickly fled the scene.
Police have cordoned off the area and started an investigation to identify the attackers. Rajon’s body is at the morgue of Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Khulna Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam said, “On their way down after appearing in court, Hasib and Rajon were killed by gunfire from terrorists. Hasib’s body had been taken to his home. It was later brought to the morgue. Rajon’s body is in the morgue. Bullet shells, a knife, and two motorcycles were recovered from the scene.”
