Regarding his departure from Gono Odhikar Parishad, Dr Reza Kibria said that he cannot remain in a party that is run with Israeli money. He made the remarks recently in an interview with a private television channel.
Speaking about changing parties multiple times, Reza Kibria said, “First, I was in Gono Forum, that is true. But for various reasons, internal conflicts began within the party. The party became divided over whether the MP should join parliament or not. One group said he should boycott parliament, while another group said he should join.”
Talking about Gono Odhikar Parishad, Reza Kibria said, “At the request of Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury—whom I respected greatly—he strongly urged me to join the party. I stayed there for some time, but there is no question of my remaining there. I cannot stay in a party that operates under Israelis, a party that runs on Israeli money.”
Stating that he was not aware of the issue beforehand, Reza Kibria said, “I did not know this earlier. Later, information about the meeting was published in the media. After that, the Palestinian ambassador said that there were three meetings between him (Nurul Haq Nur) and Mossad at three different locations. That is when I became completely certain about the matter.”
