BNP Leaders Welcome Tarique Rahman at the Airport
The Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Tarique Rahman, was welcomed with flowers at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital by the party’s Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Also present at the time were Standing Committee members Salahuddin Ahmed, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Mirza Abbas, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Selima Rahman, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, and Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, along with other central leaders.
It is noteworthy that the aircraft carrying Tarique Rahman landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:45 am on Thursday (25 December). With this, Tarique Rahman returned to the country after a long gap of 17 years.
After completing immigration procedures, Tarique Rahman was first welcomed with flowers by the party’s Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, at the airport’s VIP lounge. Later, the BNP Acting Chairman embraced Mirza Fakhrul and the Standing Committee members one by one. He also exchanged greetings with the leaders present.
Afterwards, Tarique Rahman was welcomed with a floral garland by his mother-in-law. At that time, his wife Zubaida Rahman, his daughter Zaima Rahman, and other family members residing in the country were present with him.
