11-Party Alliance Alleges Manipulation of Election Results
In the 13th National Parliament election, Shafiqul Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, alleged that even though the voting process was “fair,” the results were manipulated through “irregularities and rigging.” He made these claims during a press conference held on Friday night at Jamaat’s central office in Moghbazar, Dhaka, organized on behalf of the 11-party electoral alliance.

Nahid Islam, Convener of the Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP), has alleged that there was clear manipulation of the results in the 13th National Parliament election.
‘Yes’ Wins in Referendum, but Major Discrepancies in EC Statistics; 244% Vote Casting in One Constituency
In the recently held referendum, approximately 62.47 percent voted in favor of “Yes” and 29.32 percent voted in favor of “No.” Although “Yes” won nationwide with more than double the votes, The Business Standard (TBS) has identified major discrepancies in the referendum results and calculations published by the Election Commission (EC). Although “Yes” won in most constituencies, “No” secured victory in 11 constituencies.
